Day of the Heart
In lieu of a traditional Valentine’s Day celebration, Odyssey celebrates the Day of the Heart–a beautiful annual tradition where our community comes together to celebrate our genuine appreciation for one another. It’s a day where the bonds between older and younger students grow deeper and beautiful mentorships are formed. It’s a day where the entire campus celebrates love, friendship and unity through creative expression such as communal music, yoga, painting, crafts and it’s a day when parents, teachers and students join the stage together for the performance of the year! Love songs only, of course!
At Odyssey, our community is everything. It’s essential for fostering an environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to learn - truly setting them up to be better connected with their individual authenticity.
When we celebrate community, we help faculty, students and families alike, develop a deeper connection to each other– it encourages collaboration, promotes inclusivity and creates a positive atmosphere that makes Odyssey much more than just simply a school…it’s a home away from home and when students feel this strong sense of belonging, they are more likely to engage in learning and contribute their unique perspectives.
By learning into our annual traditions such as Founder’s Day, Festival of Light and Day of the Heart, we allow students to appreciate the concept of community support which leads to more confident and secure empaths.
Community makes us stronger.
