Admissions
The path to enrollment at Odyssey follows a similar journey regardless of age: tour, application, student visit, group discussion, and mutual decision.
What remains consistent is our focus from the start on centering the student and their experience. Here's how we do it.
The Path to Admission
1. Schedule a tour
Fill out our inquiry form to schedule your Odyssey campus tour. Scroll down to learn more about tours.
2. Apply
Submit an application for your child. PreK applications address developmental milestones and state eligibility requirements. K-12 applications focus on educational fit and family alignment with Odyssey's philosophy. Once you’ve applied, we will review the application and reach out to you with any questions.
3. Schedule and attend a student visit
After you apply, we'll contact you to schedule a student visit—this is essential, not optional. Every prospective student visits campus before any enrollment decisions are made. PreK students visit for 90 minutes in small groups. Elementary and older students typically stay for a full school day, participating in actual classes. Students get to "try us on," and we have an opportunity to get to know them and see how they engage with our community.
4. Group Conversation
After the visit, our team—teachers who worked with your child, directors, and admissions staff—comes together to discuss what we observed during their visit. We then reach out to you to talk about fit, address any questions, and share perspectives from everyone involved. Your child's voice and experience matters in this conversation, and we’ll want to hear from them about their thoughts on attending Odyssey.
5. Final conversation and decision
Most often, everyone agrees it's a great fit and enrollment moves forward quickly. Sometimes we have questions that need deeper conversation—about learning approaches, support strategies, or family expectations. Occasionally, it becomes clear that Odyssey isn't the right match, either for the student, the family, or the school. We want every student here to actively choose to be here, which means honoring when that choice isn't an enthusiastic yes.
