NCSEAA Opportunity Scholarship - applications open soon
North Carolina's Opportunity Scholarship program has expanded eligibility in a major way: the income cap has been removed, and families no longer need prior public school enrollment to qualify. This state program offers tuition assistance ranging from $3,000 to $7,000 that can be used at Odyssey.
If cost has been the thing keeping you from exploring whether Odyssey could work for your family, this might change the equation. These scholarships exist to open doors that felt closed.
Applications are accepted February 2 - March 2 thru NCSEAAβs MyPortal system, with priority given to early applicants thru. Learn more and apply at the NC State Education Assistance Authority. We're here to answer questions about how this scholarship works with Odyssey's tuition.

Head of School update, 1/25
We were thrilled to see so many of you at our Meet the Teachers Open House last week! It was especially wonderful to watch current Odyssey families welcome potential Odyssey families - thank you all for being such incredible ambassadors for our sweet school.

Meeting a quilter: 3/4 Visit
Renowned quilter Luke Haynes came to visit and spoke with our 3/4 students about the art of quilting, his creative process, and the winding, wonderful road that led him to life as an artist.
Middle School: Minimester Showcase!
This week, our middle school students took the stage to share the heart of their Minimester learningβand wow!
From the power and precision of a Polynesian dance focus, to striking hand-crafted spirit masks that explored identity and symbolism, to thoughtful presentations on community care, this performance was a beautiful reflection of whole-child learning in action.
Students also shared how they collected donations for Homeward Bound and reflected on why supporting our unhoused neighbors matters. Their words reminded us that learning at Odyssey isnβt just about academicsβitβs about empathy, creativity, and showing up for our community.
We are so proud of these curious, compassionate, and courageous young humans.
