Head of School Update, 9/28
Dear Odyssey Community:
What an extraordinary week it has been. As we close out our student-led Peace, Love, & Wellness fundraiser, we want to take a moment to thank each and every student and family who poured their energy, creativity, and heart into making it such a success. From sharing the campaign to lacing up your sneakers, to rallying friends and neighbors — it was truly all hands on deck.
Special Thanks
This week was enriched by so many generous contributions, and we want to pause to acknowledge them:
Willow & Phillip of Three Rivers Massage for gifting our hardworking teachers complimentary massages — a true gift of care and renewal.
Leslie Meyers of Waterleaf Naturopathic for inspiring our students with a talk on whole-person wellness, encouraging them to nurture body, mind, and spirit.
Emma Cassedy & Brody the Therapy Dog for bringing joy, calm, and a few extra tail wags to brighten our halls.
The Hop for treating our community to an array of delicious ice cream — pure delight in every scoop.
Whole Foods for donating heaps of bananas and berries, making our buddy lunch parfait bar both healthy and fun.
And to our amazing Odyssey staff & team, who pitched in in countless ways to make sure everything ran seamlessly — thank you for always going above and beyond.
A Gentle Reminder: Last Call for Elders Day Invitations
If there is an elder in your student’s life — a grandparent, neighbor, aunt, uncle, mentor, or cherished friend — that you would like us to invite to Elders Day, please fill out this form. Elders Day will take place on Thursday, October 16th, at 9:15 AM.
Our honored guests will begin the morning with coffee and baked goods, then share a piece of wisdom or a life lesson on paper for our community to treasure. Afterwards, they will spend time in classrooms engaging in special activities alongside their Odyssey student. It is their presence that makes this day so meaningful. We hope you’ll take a moment to make sure the important elders in your child’s life are included in this celebration.
This week reminded us that Odyssey’s greatest strength is its people — students, families, elders, and friends alike. Thank you for weaving together a community that continues to grow in love, resilience, and joy.
With Gratitude,
Anne and Peter
