Zach Martin

P.E. Teacher K-12

Originally from Buffalo, New York, Zach began playing sports at an early age. After playing baseball and football throughout high school, Zach pursued baseball after high school, and coached at Babe Ruth Leagues in Florida and North Carolina, as well as 10u, 13u and 15u teams, including multiple All Star teams.

Zach attended the State College of Florida, majoring in Education with a focus in Early Childhood Education. After spending many summers working at summer camps in Montreat, North Carolina, and falling in love with the mountains, Zach moved to Asheville to be a preschool teacher.

Zach landed his dream job as a PE teacher here at Odyssey, where he can combine his love of sports, education, health, compassion, and cooperative, hands-on learning. Zach is excited to work collaboratively with teachers and students to design a curriculum that includes both traditional and innovative activities that focus on participation, effort, and meeting goals.

Odyssey School is an independent, non-profit school with a focus on whole child, emotionally intelligent, personalized curriculum for students in PreK-12.
