Celebrations

Founders’ Day

A group of parents, educators, and visionaries began meeting in 2007 to dream what is now Odyssey.  This is a day  give thanks for their vision!

Founder’s Day is a brief celebration on the first morning of every school year, during which our whole community gathers on the greens before the infamous sword in the stone to sing together, listen to the story of Odyssey’s beginnings and cycles of growth, and to weave a natural web of life, a symbol of the aesthetic, spiritual, physical, moral, mental, and emotional journey we begin anew and together each fall.
