All-Faculty Meeting, 2/3/16

We will open with a Best Practice presentation by Mary Virginia, and meet in her K1 classroom.

Following, we will check in about parking, delayed openings, the game closet, and any other brief announcements we may have. As quickly as we can, we’ll break into groups to address the long list of classroom-specific items we have!

PreK: Courtney TBA

Early K-5: Together, we’ll check in about ACT testing and communicating with parents, future design trainings and special classes, administering student surveys, developmentally appropriate use of Google Classroom, preparing rising students for the next grade, and reviewing texts about educating boys. Remaining time can be used for ELS work.

Upper Grades: We will quickly check in about honors rosters, SLC, reflection forms, Google Classroom (a reminder to invite Megan; discussion on code-switching), course catalog, student surveys, minimester reflections, supervising exceptional learning experiences & grade entry, lunch/centering assignments, centering needs (Classroom on phones, SLC work), 9th & 10th grade ACT testing, and our snow day work policy. Whew. In addition, we will try to make space for discussions about MS behavior, cell phones in the classroom, and creating an agenda for your class meeting (HS teachers).

This is a friendly reminder that today’s faculty meeting will end at 4:30.
