7:00 pm: Odyssey High School Students present A Roaring 20′s Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre. (Actually, coffee & dessert will be served.) $20 for adults, $15 for ages 13 & under. Child care provided for an extra fee by the middle school.

Reservations encouraged – call 828-275-3368. Dressing up (think flapper dresses & 2-tone shoes) is encouraged, too. Please support our high school students by attending this production & fundraiser.

Michael made presentations to the guests and crew about whales and his non-profit work to help save them.  On this voyage he saw blue, fin, humpback, and short finned pilot whales as well as a variety of dolphins, and he swam with juvenile California sea lions (who tried to tear the tip of his snorkel off) and a green sea turtle.

 

During the high school’s second semester, Michael’s Cetaceans class will take a three-day field trip to Beaufort, NC to visit the primary NC bottle nose dolphin researcher. Michael hopes to take all of the students out via the research boat to see how the dolphins in our coastal waters are studied.  The class will also see a 35 foot sperm whale skeleton that is being articulated for eventual display in the NC Maritime Museum in Beaufort.
