Faculty Meeting Agenda, 12/14/16
We will begin with a Best Practice Presentation by Andrew Rabin, and, after a few short announcements, we will break into teams to help with setting up for the Festival of Light.
A few important notes:
- Please share this NCDOT Aviation Art contest with your students (open to ages 6-17). This year’s theme is “Beyond the Clouds” and the deadline for submissions is January 20th. In addition to gift certificates for art supplies, the top three entries in each age group will be forwarded to Washington, DC to be judged in a national competition. The artwork of the national winners will be sent to Switzerland to compete in the international competition. This is a great opportunity!
- A recent education graduate who recently moved to Asheville is looking to volunteer in classrooms to learn and offer assistance. Megan interviewed her as a substitute last week and recommends her if you are looking for help in your classroom or feel called to mentor. Please let Megan know if you are interested in this opportunity.
- On Friday, if you would like to meet with Megan, please try out the new “schedule a meeting” button! Please also note that she is planning to meet with teaching teams: K-5 (Essential Learning Skills, 10:30 am); 6-8 (Spring Scheduling, 2:30 pm); 9-12 (Spring Electives, HW, Exam Week, Accommodations/Care Plans, 1:00 pm).
