Designing an Oaxacan Economy

“Tierra Colorada”

In Spanish Language & Culture, students topographically re-designed an Oaxacan village economy after watching a documentary about the immigration struggle.  Students used Design-Thinking through empathy, definition, ideation, and testing to explore the agricultural, economic, transportation, and water issues of this tiny pueblo in Southern Mexico.

Preparing students, families, and educators to lead the 21st century with an authentic sense of self.
