Carrie Ann Good

K-3rd Grade After School Teacher

Carrie Ann grew up in New Jersey and moved to the mountains of North Carolina in 2007 to attend Brevard College. After receiving a Bachelor’s in History Carrie Ann moved to Iowa to teach at Scattergood. Scattergood Friends School is a small independent Quaker school with very similar values to Odyssey! At Scattergood, Carrie Ann learned how to implement project based learning and how to practice holistic education. She then moved on to obtain a Masters in Education from Ashford University.

After obtaining her Masters, Carrie Ann led several after school programs and started Camp Awesome for youth in the Iowa City area. The mountains would eventually call her back and she would hone her after school skills while running Enka Middle School’s afterschool program for the YMCA of WNC. Currently an online ESL teacher for Chinese students ages 5-12, Carrie Ann is excited to be working and learning with the Odyssey after school students in K-3!

When Carrie Ann isn’t playing bat tag or building forts with Odyssey students, she enjoys reading, running, and spending time with her family.

Preparing students, families, and educators to lead the 21st century with an authentic sense of self.
